A venue with a difference

Survival skills at A Day in the Country can be tailored into a full or half day. For example: guests are introduced to their instructors and Survival Skills Experts. Guests will be split into their camps and will be given an area with an envelope containing instructions and details for the day or afternoon. Each camp is required to build a shelter, light a fire, cook a meal in order to earn as many points as possible in the given time. The camps will be competing against each other during the event. Teams will be awarded points on the methods used, the success/effectiveness of the methods, presentation. The team scoring the highest number of points by the close of the activity will be deemed the winners and receive the ‘Grey Owl’ award. Teams may lose points accordingly i.e not completing a task. This is a fun and challenging activity which can be biased towards serious team building or just fun!

A Day in the Country like to work closely with you to design challenges that address your specific business goals in a lively context that is more tactical than physical. To this end, we have developed a ropes course that encourages teambuilding, personal development and networking that’s not only different and challenging, but great fun too.
If one of our programmes does not meet with your needs, then we will be delighted to quote you a special day combining ropes courses and team building activities for a multi activity day. We would also be pleased to quote for any other activity not mentioned here.
