A venue with a difference

The Shepherd
It is going dark and the shepherd needs to get the sheep in. Using only a whistle and a series of non-word recognisable sounds, he must herd up the sheep (his blindfolded team members) into the pen.
As the team members in turn are blind folded, this exercise focuses on trust and communication. Some team members will be more confident at being blind folded than others and therefore it encourages other team members to be supportive and considerate and to realise each other’s strength and weaknesses. It also encourages coaching skills, as teams have to communicate, direct and encourage their blind folded colleague.

A Day in the Country like to work closely with you to design challenges that address your specific business goals in a lively context that is more tactical than physical. To this end, we have developed a ropes course that encourages teambuilding, personal development and networking that’s not only different and challenging, but great fun too.
A Day in the Country is centrally located on the Oxfordshire/Northamptonshire borders, just 5 minutes from J10 of the M40 and 25 minutes from J15a of the M1. The venue is approximately half way between London and the Midlands, with excellent motorway connections. There are regular rail services to nearby Bicester and Banbury.
